Spend a day exploring Amsterdam's museums and art galleries, then cruise to the tiny village of Flam, surrounded by soaring mountains. Perhaps take a ride on the famous Flam Railway during your time here. Admire spectacular scenery as Columbus cruises Sognefjord, before arriving in Olden, gateway to the dramatic Briksdal Glacier.

Andalsnes is the start of the Rauma Line, a vintage steam train journey. Perhaps take the optional excursion along the impressive winding Troll Path Road before cruising Romsdalsfjord. Discover Bergen's colourful wharf with its traditional wooden buildings or take the funicular to the top of Mount Floien for panoramic views of the city and Norwegian coastline.

Norwegian Fjordland Itinerary

Day 1 - London Tilbury (UK)

Embark Columbus in London Tilbury.

Day 2 - Amsterdam (Netherlands)

Explore the charming and quirky city of Amsterdam with its many quaint coffee shops, beautiful churches and picturesque tree-lined canals. Perhaps discover one of the world-class museums including the Van Gogh Museum, the Anne Frank House and the famous Rijksmuseum.

Day 3 - At Sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 4 - Flåm (Norway)

The village of Flam is surrounded by towering mountains and nestled at the head of Aurlandsfjord. In the late 19th century, royals were attracted by the salmon fishing in the Flam River. Today, visitors flock to Flam for the opportunity to ride on the world famous railway, a masterpiece of engineering. Later, cruise Sognefjord.

Day 5 - Olden

The village of Olden is situated at the end of the innermost arm of the mighty Nordfjord. Steep mountains tower on both sides of the valley, making the village of Olden one of the most charming and idyllic in Western Norway with the opportunity to visit the Briksdal Glacier. Later, cruise Nordfjord.

Day 6 - Åndalsnes

Andalsnes is located at the end of Romsdalfjord at the mouth of the Rauma River. The river attracted British aristocrats at the end of the 19th century. Today, it is the administrative centre of Rauma and the start of the Rauma Line, a vintage steam train journey. Perhaps take the optional excursion along the winding Troll Path Road. Later, cruise Romsdalsfjord.

Day 7 - Bergen

Bergen is known as the Gateway to the Fjords. The funicular to the summit of Mount Floien offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city and Norway's coastline. The colourful Bryggen wharf with its characteristic wooden gabled buildings is the face of Bergen. The buildings were once the homes and offices of Hanseatic merchants. Today, they house souvenir shops.

Day 8 - At Sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 9 - London Tilbury (UK)

Disembark Columbus in London Tilbury.
