Enjoy a friendly welcome from the locals in Dublin, the capital of the Emerald Isle, before sailing to the Shetland Islands to uncover the rich history of this rugged archipelago. Visit Hanseatic Bergen, with its historic Bryggen district and well-preserved colourful wooden houses, and Olden which is the gateway to the spectacular Briksdal Glacier.

Cruise the stunning Geirangerfjord to quaint Flam, renowned for its famous railway which meanders through breathtaking mountain scenery. From the picturesque village of Eidfjord optional excursions feature natural wonders such as the magnificent Voringfossen waterfall. Discover Stavanger's maritime history and traditional whitewashed 18th-century houses before calling at Kirkwall, capital of the Orkney Islands.

Day 1 - Liverpool (UK)

Embark Magellan in Liverpool.

Day 2 - Dublin (Ireland)

Dublin is the capital of the Emerald Isle and boasts a superb mix of medieval, Georgian and modern architecture. The city is home to Dublin Castle, Trinity College and majestic Four Courts. Perhaps cross the Ha’penny Bridge, one of Dublin’s most famous landmarks. Please note: Passengers on the 28th July departure from Dublin will be embarking the ship today.

Day 3 - At Sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 4 - Lerwick (Shetland Islands)

Lerwick was founded as an unofficial marketplace to service 17th century Dutch herring fleets. Hay's Dock is home to the Shetland Museum and Archives. On the southern tip of Mainland is the impressive archaeological site of Jarlshof.

Day 5 - Bergen (Norway)

Bergen is beautifully located against a backdrop of seven mountains. Perhaps take the funicular ride to the summit of Mount Floien for panoramic views of Bergen, or explore the traditional wooden buildings of the colourful Bryggen Wharf which house souvenir shops.

Day 6 - Olden

The village of Olden is situated at the end of the innermost arm of the mighty Nordfjord. Steep mountains tower on both sides of the valley, making the village of Olden one of the most charming and idyllic in Western Norway with the opportunity to visit the Briksdal Glacier. Later, cruise Nordfjord

Day 7 - Geiranger

Geiranger has grown into one of Norway’s most popular tourist resorts. From here, mountain roads wind their way up to panoramic views that are breathtaking. Later, cruise Geirangerfjord.

Day 8 - Flåm

The village of Flam is surrounded by towering mountains and nestled at the head of Aurlandsfjord. In the late 19th century, royals were attracted by the salmon fishing in the Flam River. Today, visitors flock to Flam for the opportunity to ride on the world famous railway, a masterpiece of engineering. Later, cruise Sognefjord.

Day 9 - Eidfjord

Cruise Hardangerfjord and arriving at Eidfjord. This charming town is the gateway to Hardangervidda, Norway’s largest national park. From here, perhaps visit the beautiful Voringfossen waterfall or the amazing Sysen Dam on optional excursions. Later, cruise Hardangerfjord.

Day 10 - Stavanger

Stavanger is a modern city and known as the Oil Capital of Norway. Explore the picturesque old part with its 18th-century wooden houses or admire the impressive Anglo-Norman style cathedral. Optional excursions are available, including a visit to the Iron Age Farm at Ullanhaug.

Day 11 - Kirkwall (Orkney Islands)

Kirkwall is the capital of the Orkney archipelago. The spectacular St Magnus Cathedral dominates the town's skyline. Take one of the optional excursions during your time here.

Day 12 - At Sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 13 - Liverpool (UK)

Disembark Magellan in Liverpool. Please note: Passengers who embarked in Dublin on Day 2 will disembark in Dublin tomorrow.
