Nestled at the end of a stunning fjord, Eidfjord offers breathtaking scenery, from towering mountains to majestic waterfalls. Perhaps attend the Hardanger Music Festival and enjoy classical concerts from renowned musicians, before cruising back to Dover.

Day 1 - Dover (UK)

Embark Saga Pearl II in Dover.

Day 2 - At Sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 3 - Haugesund (Norway)

You arrive in Haugesund on a national public holiday, as Norway celebrates its Constitution Day. This small but vibrant port combines the bustle of city life with the relative wilderness of the surrounding countryside. See the pink neo-classical city hall, or venture further afield to seek out the mighty waterfalls of Langfoss and Svandalsfossen. Alternatively, trace the legacy of Harald Harfagre – the Viking who united Norway and became its first king over 1,000 years ago. His burial mound is a now a national monument that depicts scenes of his life, as told by the sagas of old.

Day 4 - Stavanger

Stavanger is a city of two halves – a modern area and a historic old centre with cobbled streets and clapboard residential buildings. To see truly amazing fjordland scenery, you may like to enjoy a boat trip along the scenic Lysefjord, which will take you past the massive cliffs of Pulpit Rock, or perhaps visit a typical Norwegian home and learn what life is like in this beautiful part of Norway. Alternatively, head to the Flor and Fjaere botanical garden on the tiny island of Sor Hidle and discover an array of flora.

Days 5-6 - Eidfjord

Eidford is surrounded by soaring peaks and cascading waterfalls and sites at the head of a fjord created during the last Ice Age. It is the gateway to Hardangervidda, Europe's largest mountain plateau. Perhaps attend the Hardanger Music Festival and enjoy classical performances by renowned musicians, visit the Hardangervidda Nature Centre on an optional tour, or enjoy a drive to the picturesque village of Ulvik and stunning lakes of Espeland and Granvin.

Day 7 - At Sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 8 - Dover (UK)

Disembark Saga Pearl II in Dover.
